Geraldine graduated from the University of Leeds in 1995 and has been in active practice since 1999 primarily in the fields of property conveyancing, land matters, corporate and commercial advisory work in the jurisdictions of Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam. She was admitted to the High Court of Malaya in October 1999 and Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in August 2007.
Geraldine’s early years of practice in Malaysia encompassed her undertaking a variety of property conveyancing and commercial work ranging from drawing up wills, preparing banking documents, drafting tenancies and sale and purchase agreements of land to carrying out property re-structuring for companies.
In Brunei, Geraldine has undertaken a wide range of property conveyancing, corporate and commercial advisory work including drawing up of development agreements, drafting joint venture agreements to handling incorporation of companies and negotiating sale of shares transactions on behalf of clients. This exposure has provided her vast experience of working within a legal environment and honed her skills in analyzing, researching and summarizing any given matter and legal information.
A good team player, Geraldine is able to communicate confidently and clearly, has good organisational skills and is able to work in a calm and efficient manner when under pressure.
She was recently appointed as the Mediation Officer in YHP.
